How to Play & Game Rules
- Select Words: Click or drag across adjacent letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- Level Progression: Target word length scales up with each level. Level 1 requires 3-letter words, cascading up to 7-letter words on Level 5.
- The Banking System: If you spot a valid target word belonging to a *future* level, the game will automatically Bank it in Purple! Reach that word's specific level layer to automatically release it, score points, and flash it green.
- Letter Reuse: Green cells are already verified, but their letters **can and should** be reused to weave into longer words and future target chains.
- Press Submit to validate your grid path.
Scoring Matrix & Velocity Hint Rules
Points are scaled by word length and total elapsed puzzle time to reward both complex pattern identification and structural speed.
| Completion Duration | Efficiency Multiplier Index | Performance Yield |
|---|---|---|
| Under 5 Minutes | 2.0x Multiplier Bonus | Maximum Score Tier |
| 5 – 10 Minutes | 1.5x Multiplier Bonus | Advanced Competency Tier |
| 10 – 15 Minutes | 1.0x Base Scale | Standard Completion Tier |
| Over 15 Minutes | 0.8x Score Time-Decay | Gradual Attrition Decay |
Linguistic Scaling Matrix: Base values range from 100 points (3-Letter Level 1 items) up to 1,600 points (7-Letter Level 5 milestones) before your final Efficiency Velocity Index multiplier is calculated.
Tips for Finding Complex 6 and 7-Letter Words
- Scan major cross-corner diagonals carefully—longer targets often cross paths there.
- Isolate root vowels and intentionally trace paths outward across unselected grid segments.
- Look out for common visual prefixes:
RE–,UN–,PRE–. - Track structural linguistic modifiers and word endings:
–ING,–ER,–LY.
